Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise on KSA and broader Middle East laws, regulations, and procedures, and draft, negotiate, and advise on strategic technology service agreements with commercial and public sector customers and partners.
  • •Provide legal counsel and regulatory guidance to executives and business teams on matters related to the sale of cloud-based, on-premises, and professional services across the region.
  • •Collaborate closely with internal teams including privacy, government affairs, security, and compliance to ensure agreements are consistent with internal policies, and provide support on existing contracts and any potential disputes.
  • •Contribute to the development of legal training materials, support responses to RFIs and RFPs, and actively participate in cross-regional team projects and the ongoing development of the EMEA Commercial Legal team.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in a reputable law firm or as in-house commercial counsel within a large organization operating in the Middle East, with substantial experience in KSA commercial and technology contracting.
  • •Expertise in cloud computing, AI, data privacy, and intellectual property laws, with knowledge of Islamic Sharia law and public procurement processes.
  • •Outstanding legal drafting, negotiation, and communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • •Business fluency in both Arabic and English.
  • •Qualified lawyer within a major jurisdiction and/or KSA; Master’s Degree (LLM) a plus; experience with US revenue recognition standards and public procurement activities.
