Key Responsibilities

•Supervise electrical maintenance work in the Engineering and Maintenance department at the Fraser Surrey terminal.
•Maintain and repair electrical control systems, including troubleshooting electrical infrastructure and PLC drives.
•Prioritize, plan, and supervise maintenance tasks and manage maintenance personnel, including conflict management, performance management, and discipline.
•Incorporate safety into maintenance practices and demonstrate a progressive attitude toward safety.
•Perform normal administrative duties and cover any shift as scheduled for 24/7 operation.

Key Requirements

•Hold a valid Inter-Provincial or Provincial Trade Qualification certificate in electrical trade, with 5 years of marine terminal maintenance experience including 3 years at a modern container terminal.
•Have considerable knowledge and experience maintaining container gantry cranes, RTGs, RMGs, and electrical infrastructure.
•Demonstrate skills in prioritizing, planning, and supervising maintenance work, including managing maintenance personnel (conflict management, performance management, discipline).
•Extensive knowledge of electrical control systems, maintenance, and repair, including thorough knowledge of PLC drives and low and medium voltage electrical systems.
•Hold a valid driver’s license and Transport Canada Security Clearance.
