Job Summary

Advise MongoDB customers and partners to resolve complex issues across architecture, performance, recovery, and security. Serve as an expert on running MongoDB at scale, collaborate with product and development teams to advocate for customer needs, and build internal support tooling for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics. Work in a hybrid model in Dublin with a Tuesday–Saturday shift, mentoring new team members as you deepen expertise in the MongoDB ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with large customers and partners to solve complex issues involving architecture, performance, recovery, and security.
•Provide expertise on standard methodologies for running MongoDB at scale.
•Collaborate with product management and development teams to advocate for customer and partner needs.
•Contribute to internal projects, including building support tools for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics.
•Mentor and ramp up new team members while building knowledge of new product lines in the MongoDB ecosystem.

Key Requirements

•Solid hands-on systems engineering experience, including Linux performance, memory management, I/O tuning, configuration, security, networking, and troubleshooting.
•Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols such as DNS, TCP/IP, and SSL/TLS.
•Experience building and maintaining mission-critical production database systems (RDBMS or NoSQL).
•Basic coding or scripting ability in one or more languages: Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, or Go.
•Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues end-to-end, from the application tier through the database down to storage, with excellent communication and calm under pressure.
