Provide strategic legal guidance for intellectual property matters within the Copyright & Trademark team, advising senior creative and business leaders across trademark, copyright, domain name, and related IP issues. Lead clearance of trademarks and related nomenclature, manage trademark prosecution and enforcement domestically and internationally, and oversee due diligence and IP-related contractual terms for transactions. Focus on supporting Universal Destinations & Experiences and advancing NBCUniversal’s worldwide IP strategy.

Key Responsibilities

•Advise and collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams on trademark, copyright, domain name, and related IP matters.
•Oversee trademark clearance of trademarks, titles, character names, and related assets for client businesses and strategic initiatives.
•Manage prosecution and enforcement of trademarks and other IP assets domestically and internationally.
•Conduct IP-related due diligence and advise on contractual terms for licenses, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
•Manage domain name acquisitions and UDRP proceedings and partner with IP colleagues across regions to protect and enforce NBCUniversal brands worldwide.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 140,000 - 170,000 annually

Key Requirements

•4+ years of experience in the trademark or intellectual property field, at a law firm or comparable corporate setting.
•JD or LLM degree from an accredited law school.
•Member in good standing of the California State Bar (or another U.S. State Bar) and eligible to register as in-house counsel in California.
•Demonstrated ability to handle multiple high-priority matters in a fast-paced, diverse corporate environment.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across business units.
