Key Responsibilities

  • •Research, develop, shoot, write, edit, produce, and present accurate and compelling news stories for broadcast, digital, streaming, and social platforms.
  • •Generate original and enterprise story ideas relevant to the local community.
  • •Cover breaking news with live reports, interviews, and field/studio updates.
  • •Produce daily news packages, special reports, and enterprise stories while meeting tight deadlines.
  • •Collaborate with newsroom teams and operate professional cameras/production and live transmission equipment to deliver content.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • •Minimum 2 years’ experience as a reporter/MMJ/journalist producing original news content.
  • •Experience shooting, writing, editing, and producing news stories independently.
  • •Strong Spanish skills (written and verbal) and ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • •Must be willing to work flexible hours and be based in McAllen, Texas, with unrestricted U.S. work authorization (18+), and a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
