Key Responsibilities

  • •Architect and evolve cloud-based backend systems for mobile robotics, focusing on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • •Design, implement, and ship features for OMRS, the platform powering thousands of robots across 120+ live sites, leveraging AI to improve stability and performance.
  • •Keep production healthy through monitoring, on-call rotations, and proactive improvements, balancing speed and quality.
  • •Collaborate across mobile apps, backend microservices, workflow orchestration, and APIs to deliver integrated solutions.
  • •Drive agentic AI workflows, evaluate models and tools, and codify effective practices for the team.

Key Requirements

  • •Technically senior with deep command of at least one backend language (TypeScript, Go, Java, C++, Python, or similar) and experience building and operating cloud-native, distributed services.
  • •Strong instinct for system design: read unfamiliar architectures, identify load-related weaknesses, and reason about trade-offs.
  • •Genuine ownership across greenfield and brownfield work, drive to completion, and on-call readiness.
  • •Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into real software with feedback loops, guardrails, and validation.
  • •Familiarity with Kubernetes, GCP/AWS, Pub/Sub, PostgreSQL; modern AI stack including RAG and vector databases; orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Strands SDK, n8n) is a plus.
