Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide physiotherapy management for an assigned patient load and practise as an accountable professional.
  • •Undertake specialist assessment and develop individualised treatment programmes using reflective practice and clinical reasoning.
  • •Deliver physiotherapy for a caseload with varied respiratory and cardiac presentations, including cardiothoracic and major general surgery patients.
  • •Monitor and provide appropriate physiotherapy services to adult Intensive Care Unit patients.
  • •Manage clinical risk within the caseload, communicate potential risk, and liaise with nursing staff for new admissions.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • •HCPC registration and CSP membership.
  • •Proven broad experience in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, including acute respiratory, critical care, general surgery, and general medical caseloads.
  • •Experience managing complex cardiac and head and neck cancer patients.
  • •Knowledge of specialist devices appropriate to respiratory care.
