Key Responsibilities

  • •Integrate the latest Linux Kernel developments into Arista’s internal needs and Arista EOS.
  • •Extend and develop kernel features used by Arista, working with the kernel community to integrate upstream.
  • •Own software projects from definition through deployment, including customer interactions.
  • •Evaluate new CPUs and work with CPU/BIOS vendors to integrate their stacks into EOS.
  • •Debug, fine tune, and optimize code for scalability and performance, including bringup and qualification of components into hardware products.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience with C or C++ and Python.
  • •Hands-on experience working on Linux Kernel software (plus).
  • •Applied understanding of software engineering principles.
  • •Ability to design a solution and implement it successfully.
  • •Strong problem solving and software troubleshooting skills.
