Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead aspects of OSP maintenance and splicing, and develop preventive maintenance and restoration procedures for OSP facilities.
  • •Splice and test fiber optic cable across field environments, including termination of fiber optic cables.
  • •Read and interpret Method of Procedures (MOPs), OSP drawings, and OTDR traces to troubleshoot fiber plant issues.
  • •Install racks and Fiber Distribution Panels (FDPs), and manually uncover manholes/handholes using hand tools in the field.
  • •Provide oversight/quality assurance for junior installers, communicate with subcontractors, and ensure engineered documentation is redlined and returned for sign-off.
