Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the long-term architecture and direction of the security product’s API and UI, including how it consumes security telemetry.
  • •Define and enforce data contracts between the security product and dependent alert, classification, and ingestion services.
  • •Integrate security telemetry across sources (syslog, NetFlow, SNMP, firewall telemetry, OpenTelemetry, EDR, MDR ingest) into a consistent analyst-ready model.
  • •Make cloud environments and their audit trails a first-class part of the product and surface enriched entities, alerts, and topology for investigations.
  • •Mentor engineers across the security product team and drive durable architectural decisions in ambiguous, cross-functional spaces.

Key Requirements

  • •Production experience building high-volume, latency-sensitive infrastructure such as distributed messaging/event streaming (e.g., Kafka) and search/indexing at scale (e.g., OpenSearch), or equivalent experience.
  • •Comfort with contract-driven development across teams using schema/interface definitions like protobuf to enforce shared contracts.
  • •Broad knowledge of security telemetry (e.g., syslog, NetFlow, SNMP, firewall telemetry, OpenTelemetry, EDR, and MDR ingest) and the ability to reason about signals together.
  • •Strong knowledge of cloud environments and their audit trails, and the ability to derive usable network and system topology from diverse, messy data sources.
  • •Familiarity with security products like NDR, XDR, or similar, and the ability to operate with significant autonomy in ambiguous requirements.
