Job Summary

Oversee laundry and linen operations within a secure, federally contracted ICE residential facility, supervising daily staff work while handling hands-on laundry duties. Ensure timely collection, laundering, inspection, distribution, and proper storage of clothing, linens, bedding, and towels. Maintain inventory and accurate operational records, enforce infection control, sanitation, safety, and PPE compliance, and complete required logs and inspections.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee and perform collection, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distribution of clothing, linens, bedding, towels, and assigned materials.
•Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, damage, and wear; remove, replace, or report items as needed, and operate commercial laundry equipment safely.
•Provide day-to-day oversight for laundry staff, assign work, monitor performance, and train staff on laundering procedures, equipment operation, infection control, PPE, and safety protocols.
•Maintain inventories of laundry supplies and items, monitor levels, submit replenishment requests, and track usage and records.
•Maintain sanitation and safety standards, handle soiled/biohazardous materials per protocols, complete required logs and compliance documentation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 17 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED required.
•Minimum two (2) years of experience in laundry services, housekeeping, environmental services, or a related support role.
•Prior lead or supervisory experience to supervise staff, coordinate workflows, and maintain accountability for daily operations.
•Ability to safely operate commercial laundry equipment and follow laundering procedures, sanitation practices, and safe handling of cleaning products and contaminated materials.
•Ability to communicate effectively in English and obtain/maintain required background checks, clearances, and credentials.
