Job Summary

Experienced Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Case Manager needed to provide applicant intake, outreach, and case management across 27 Texas counties. Responsible for coordinating services, maintaining caseloads, ensuring data integrity, and guiding applicants through program requirements, with travel to regional/satellite offices (up to 100 miles roundtrip, 2–3 times/week) from Dallas.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform outreach, intake and assessments of program applicants and gather required documentation to establish program eligibility.
•Maintain a caseload of applicants and maintain regular and required contacts to adhere to program guidelines.
•Maintain client related data systems, including case notes and completion of record entries on a timely basis; upload and correctly categorize applicant documents.
•Provide timely updates to applicants regarding case status and next steps.
•Attend meetings and trainings provided by the Program, internal and external; attend pre-construction and key release events with applicants.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 25 - 28 hourly

Key Requirements

•High School + 4 Years of case management experience, preferably in a housing recovery program; or experience as a case manager or customer service representative with skills transferable to a housing recovery program or relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
•Must pass a state and federal criminal history/security background check.
•Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
•Valid US Driver’s License for travel to various regional and satellite locations to support project task(s) assignments and scope of work.
•Ability to operate computer applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel); proficient in virtual collaboration (Microsoft Teams, etc.)
