Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design and build of user experiences, managing a team of UI engineers and coordinating with other contributors for client environments.
  • •Contribute to the Interactive Practice and help build a culture of high-quality UI development within Lab49.
  • •Act as hands-on engineer and architect across frontend work, leading projects and modeling best practices for project teams.
  • •Develop strong relationships with clients as a strategic partner and technical advisor, expanding footprint and securing follow-on work.
  • •Collaborate with business development to craft pitches, define engagement terms, and network through industry events.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of hands-on experience designing and building complex, commercial-grade software applications, with 5+ years leading Agile teams.
  • •Experience managing project teams and interacting with clients in finance, consulting, or start-up environments.
  • •Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, with modern frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Vue, or others).
  • •Experience with one or more cloud platforms with a working understanding of contemporary SDLC practices such as continuous delivery.
  • •Strong understanding of the value of testing, quality, continuous integration, source control, and code reviews.
