Key Responsibilities

  • •Support hardware design for optical transceivers and evaluation boards, including schematic capture, circuit simulation, PCB design guidance, DFM review, and design verification testing.
  • •Own PCBA design from concept through full final design and EVT/DVT phases, including schematic and layout execution and requirements management for PI/SI.
  • •Design and coordinate high-speed interface simulations and analyses (100Gbps/200Gbps NRZ and PAM4 signaling), including dc/ac PI analysis and RF trace considerations.
  • •Maintain design documentation and specifications, run design checklists prior to tape out, and partner with NPI to build PCBA.
  • •Lead design reviews, present design summaries to management, collaborate across engineering teams, and troubleshoot and optimize module/sub-system performance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree & 4+ years experience or Master’s degree & 3+ years experience or PhD in Electrical Engineering or similar STEM field.
  • •3+ years in HW/circuit design, schematic design, and layout floor planning for high-density, high-speed multiple-layer boards.
  • •Experience with Cadence tools for schematic and layout.
  • •Experience selecting and designing voltage regulators, microcontrollers, DAC/ADCs, and optimizing PCB/product bring-up and lab optical/electrical measurements.
  • •High-speed T-line design and layout guidelines (25–50G NRZ, 100Gbps PAM4 and above).
