Job Summary

Originate residential 1st mortgage loans for branch offices and outside referrals, meeting sales and cross-selling objectives while targeting CRA products to low- to moderate-income individuals, areas, and nonprofit organizations. Own the loan process from application through closing, manage risk and customer experience, maintain product and underwriting knowledge, develop referral relationships, and support outreach such as homebuyer-training seminars. Perform required reporting and participate in Consumer Lending meetings.

Key Responsibilities

•Originate residential 1st mortgage loans from application through closing, meeting sales and cross-selling objectives.
•Develop CRA prospects and referral contacts (including realtors, builders, and professional/personal contacts).
•Conduct and coordinate homebuyer-training seminars for CRA potential applicants.
•Complete applications using Fannie Mae Form 1003 and use systems to access rates/credit reports, review Loan Prospector responses, and transmit loans to LOMAS.
•Manage the loan pipeline through closing, deliver documentation within management timeframes, and provide applicant/referral updates and required management reports.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent (four-year college degree preferred).
•Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
•Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
•Strong written/verbal communication, organizational skills, and demonstrated teamwork/customer service.
