Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise on legal issues related to online content and product safety (including youth and AI), platform, privacy, intellectual property, and AI regulation.
  • •Partner with product, engineering, and key stakeholders to guide product development, go-to-market strategy, and risk mitigation, with emphasis on safety.
  • •Develop and operationalize company-wide safety policies and processes, including regulatory monitoring and scalable risk assessment frameworks.
  • •Draft and maintain legal playbooks and internal guidance, and build scalable legal review processes to support new product launches.
  • •Manage safety/privacy/data security incidents (including investigations, notifications, and resolution efforts) and drive compliance projects such as annual online safety risk assessments.

Key Requirements

  • •Legally qualified with 8+ years practicing law, including some in-house experience.
  • •Familiarity with key online safety and privacy/platform/consumer laws for digital products and generative AI (e.g., Digital Services Act, UK/AU Online Safety Act, GDPR).
  • •Deep understanding of modern AI technology and products.
  • •Experience advising on data incidents and government authority requests.
  • •Comfort collaborating across time zones and simplifying complex compliance while maintaining standards.
