Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide behavioral healthcare management, monitoring and managing care across treatment modalities as patients progress through recovery phases
  • •Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments and provide ongoing medication management for patients with serious mental illness
  • •Develop individualized treatment plans addressing psychosocial and medical needs that limit recovery
  • •Provide continuous, regular consultations as patients navigate recovery in person and occasionally virtually
  • •Collaborate with patient care teams to ensure integrated, cohesive care, including educating patients and families about conditions, treatment options, and recovery planning

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • •Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
  • •Active, unrestricted California NP license and prescriptive authority in good standing
  • •DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
  • •2+ years working with serious mental illness (SMI)/outpatient
