Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the expert on microbial customers, their workflows, and challenges.
  • •Develop and own the microbial portfolio strategy and prioritize investments by customer value and business impact.
  • •Lead customer discovery, market research, competitive analysis, and business case development for new offerings.
  • •Own the microbial product roadmap from concept through launch and ongoing lifecycle management, partnering with R&D, Engineering, Commercial, and Lab teams.
  • •Coordinate product positioning, launch plans, and commercial strategy with Marketing and Sales, and improve adoption, customer satisfaction, and revenue based on performance and feedback.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 175,000 - 200,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •PhD preferred (or other advanced degree) in molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, or a related field.
  • •At least 5 years of experience launching products or services delivering clear customer value.
  • •Deep understanding of microbial research, customer segments, and sequencing applications, including bacteria, yeast, viruses, and microbial communities.
  • •Strong product management fundamentals: customer research, market analysis, prioritization, roadmap development, pricing strategy, and business case modeling.
  • •Technical familiarity with long- and short-read sequencing technologies, library preparation methods, and downstream data analysis.
