Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead planning, coordination, and management of utilities across major infrastructure projects, owning technical quality, design management, budgets, and programmes through delivery and construction support.
  • •Manage utility investigations, utility impact assessments, and authority approvals, ensuring compliance with asset owner requirements, clearance standards, and project objectives.
  • •Act as the key interface between project teams, utility authorities, surveyors, specialist designers, and contractors to coordinate outcomes and resolve complex constraints.
  • •Provide strategic advice on utility risks, programme impacts, approval pathways, construction staging, and mitigation strategies.
  • •Drive multidisciplinary design coordination and digital engineering outcomes for clash-free, constructible, cost-effective infrastructure solutions, while building stakeholder relationships, contributing to proposals, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of post-graduate experience in civil and site infrastructure design with proven technical execution and design management across multi-disciplinary projects.
  • •Proficiency in civil design software including 12D and AutoCAD, and ability to interpret and apply utility authority and local/client-specific standards.
  • •Sound knowledge of relevant Australian civil engineering and infrastructure standards.
  • •Ability to manage utility investigations, impact assessments, and authority approval processes to meet compliance and project objectives.
  • •Ideally a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) designation (or equivalent international accreditation) and a relevant engineering or similar tertiary qualification.
