Operate NC milling/grinding machines, vertical turret lathes, and VTCs to perform routine aerospace production operations and machine multiple similar parts. Participate in a 3-week training program plus 4–8 weeks of on-the-job training to become a Certified Operator. Verify work against specifications using precision measuring instruments, maintain machines via TPM, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve machining issues.

Key Responsibilities

•Attend a training program and complete on-the-job training to become a Certified Operator.
•Set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines, vertical turret lathes, or VTCs for routine production operations.
•Use operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to set up equipment for grinding/turning/facing/boring/chamfering.
•Verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments and obtain certification to accept/reject parts.
•Perform required total preventive maintenance (TPM) and collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, programmers, and other production personnel to resolve machining problems.

Key Requirements

•High school or GED.
•1+ years of manufacturing, automotive, or related trade experience.
•Ability to make computations involving decimals and fractions.
