Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver: Lead and verify the production of flood risk documents such as flood risk assessments, strategic flood risk assessments, flood risk activity permits, Section 19 reports, and water resource chapters of EIAs.
  • •Expertise: Lead input into tenders for complex, high-profile projects including nationally significant infrastructure.
  • •Collaborate: Build relationships with clients and across technical teams to deliver a range of flood risk management projects.
  • •Quality: Stay updated on legislation and guidelines; use project management systems to deliver outputs on programme and budget.
  • •Lead: Mentor staff within the team to support professional development.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences or a related discipline
  • •Professional chartered member of CIWEM or ICE
  • •Significant experience in leading teams producing flood risk assessments and/or flood risk activity permits
  • •Strong track record in project management following NEC contracts
  • •Experience and understanding of hydraulic modelling used as evidence in flood risk assessments/permits
