Job Summary

Perform detailed inspections of parts, assemblies, raw materials, tooling, and instruments across manufacturing stages. Read and interpret drawings, schematics, work instructions, and standards; verify specs using precision measuring tools; conduct random audits of assembly processes; and document non-conformities in quality systems. Collaborate with supervisors and/or engineering to improve processes and manage special inspection processes in a safety-sensitive, aerospace manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Read and interpret drawings, schematics, work instruction sheets, and standards to validate product compliance.
•Use inspection/measuring tools (micrometers, gauges, scales, calipers, etc.) to verify specifications.
•Perform random audits of assembly processes and reject nonconforming materials and sub-assemblies daily.
•Document non-conformities (e.g., QN and reword record) in the systems and recognize discrepancies between work instructions and plans.
•Apply statistical process control knowledge, manage special inspection processes, and support process improvements or reporting of critical inspection issues.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D.) or vocational/technical education with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

•No disciplinary actions in record (5 years).
•Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
•U.S. citizenship required / must be a U.S. Person to access information under the program/contract.
