Key Responsibilities

  • •Own fire protection engineering for assigned sites, including design review, field support, and AHJ coordination.
  • •Review sprinkler, detection, and special hazard designs against applicable code and the reference design.
  • •Support field installation and acceptance testing through AHJ sign-off.
  • •Answer fire protection RFIs quickly and route code questions to defensible answers.

Salary: USD 157,000 - 208,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Have experience in fire protection engineering on commercial or industrial projects.
  • •Review hydraulic calculations and detection layouts to catch errors.
  • •Run acceptance tests with the AHJ present.
  • •Research fire code questions to primary sources rather than memory.
  • •Bonus: Have an FPE degree or be on a PE track, plus NICET certifications and/or special hazard systems experience.
