Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end US ACH payment flow knowledge across initiation, validation, enrichment, routing, clearing and settlement, returns and recalls, investigations, and reporting.
  • •Extend ACH scheme SME support across other HSBC-supported Automated Clearing House markets on a mainframe technology stack.
  • •Translate business outcomes into technical requirements and solution designs, including API/service contracts, data mappings, and non-functional requirements.
  • •Partner with engineers to align implementation approaches with Future State Architecture and ensure production operability (monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and support model).
  • •Create and manage epics, stories, and tasks in Jira for traceability from requirements to build, test, and release; coordinate incident communications and maintain governance/audit evidence under IT Service Owner responsibilities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bring proven experience as a Payments Technical Subject Matter Expert, Technical Business Analyst, Solution Analyst or Payments Consultant in an Automated Clearing House payments environment focused on US ACH processing.
  • •Apply strong National Automated Clearing House Association expertise across scheme rules, processing lifecycle, exceptions, and investigations.
  • •Use Fiserv PEP+ knowledge with practical experience in message analysis, mapping, and processing on PEP+ and a mainframe technology stack.
  • •Work confidently in Jira and Confluence for workflows, dashboards, reporting, and structured documentation.
  • •Use SQL (or equivalent) to investigate data and validate processing outcomes.
