Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, operate, and continuously improve highly available platform services, including managed Kubernetes clusters, Kafka, CI/CD systems, and shared infrastructure.
  • •Build secure, scalable infrastructure across AWS and other cloud environments using infrastructure as code and repeatable automation.
  • •Improve production reliability using SLOs, graceful degradation, self-healing, automated recovery, and effective incident response.
  • •Create self-service workflows and platform abstractions that reduce cognitive load and enable R&D teams to ship and operate software more effectively.
  • •Partner with Information Security, Cost Optimization, and engineering teams to strengthen controls, improve cloud efficiency, and contribute to the platform roadmap.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting production infrastructure on AWS, including IAM, EC2, EKS, RDS, MSK, S3, Lambda, VPC, and networking.
  • •Experience administering and scaling multi-tenant Kubernetes and Kafka streaming platforms in production, including upgrades, isolation, reliability, security, and incident response.
  • •Hands-on infrastructure-as-code and pipeline-as-code experience, including repeatable automation and cloud-native systems.
  • •Experience with observability and production reliability, including tuning relational databases (ideally PostgreSQL) and using tools like Datadog or Prometheus.
  • •Strong scripting or software engineering skills in one or more languages (Python, Go, Java, Scala, or shell) with experience owning cross-functional problems and communicating tradeoffs.
