Key Responsibilities

  • •Create, assign, and monitor work orders; track machine service intervals; order parts; and diagnose equipment issues using real-time data.
  • •Practice safe job practices when repairing equipment.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance and repairs as needed on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
  • •Troubleshoot equipment failures in-shop and on customer locations, handling repairs and documenting work performed daily.
  • •Set up and operate equipment at the shop and customer sites, assist with training lower-level technicians, and support pick-up/delivery of equipment & parts.

Key Requirements

  • •Must own tools applicable to the position and have advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
  • •Experience with power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • •Experience calculating nominal/effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and reading/understanding schematics.
  • •Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • •Ability to obtain EPA 608 certification within 6–12 months (EPA 608 preferred) and maintain a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
