Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor field performance and identify trends in failure across various vehicle platforms using life data analysis (Weibull) to track reliability growth from implemented changes
  • •Validate customer usage against rider profiles/duty cycles to identify gaps in reliability test plans and develop novel damage metrics
  • •Collaborate with Service to develop a common service platform/database for channel partners to query customer complaints and part replacements, defining what information is documented
  • •Develop material review board (MRB) process for disposition (rework/reman, scrap, return for analysis) and perform failure analysis to identify corrective actions
  • •Define ongoing reliability testing (ORT) plan

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline or equivalent; two or more years of industry experience in a reliability engineering role
  • •Technical knowledge of reliability-related areas including PCBA/electronic components, battery and power electronics, drive units, and chassis systems
  • •Understanding of reliability statistics, life data analysis, reliability growth
  • •Experience with structured problem solving methods (FRACA or 8D) and root-cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, Fault Tree, FMEA)
  • •Working knowledge of a coding language, preferably Python; familiarity with statistical software (JMP, ReliaSoft, MATLAB) and failure analysis techniques (SEM, CT, X-Ray, EDS, TDR)
