Job Summary

Provide specialized surgical care for patients with benign and malignant breast conditions, including assessment, diagnosis, and individualized treatment planning. Perform breast-conserving and mastectomy procedures, sentinel lymph node biopsy, and other breast surgeries, coordinating reconstructive care when needed. Deliver diagnostic interpretation support with breast imaging specialists, counsel patients, manage postoperative follow-up, and participate in tumor board reviews, quality initiatives, and clinical governance.

Key Responsibilities

•Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with benign and malignant breast diseases, including comprehensive breast examinations and clinical assessments.
•Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical guidelines and multidisciplinary recommendations.
•Perform breast-conserving surgery and mastectomy procedures, including appropriate skin-sparing and nipple-sparing techniques.
•Perform sentinel lymph node biopsy and axillary lymph node dissection, and excise benign breast lesions as needed.
•Provide patient counseling, obtain informed consent, manage postoperative complications and surgical follow-up, and participate in breast cancer screening and tumor board meetings.

Key Requirements

•MBBS or an equivalent medical degree recognized in the UAE.
•Master’s degree (MS), MD, FRCS, Arab Board, European Board, American Board, or an equivalent qualification in General Surgery.
•Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Breast Surgery, Surgical Oncology, or Oncoplastic Breast Surgery (preferred).
•Minimum 3–5 years of post-qualification experience as a Consultant Breast Surgeon, subject to UAE licensing requirements.
•Valid DHA, DOH, or MOHAP Consultant license, or eligibility to obtain one, with compliance to UAE Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR).
