Job Summary

Safely diagnose, repair, and maintain mobile and ground-engaging equipment as part of Tilcon New York’s operations in West Nyack. Perform daily work-area inspections and housekeeping, fuel equipment, maintain accurate equipment/time records, and manage work orders in a CMMS system. Read and follow manuals and schematics, perform electrical/hydraulic/power-train troubleshooting, and cut/weld as needed while learning and applying MSHA standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely diagnose problems, make repairs, and perform services on mobile and ground-engaging equipment in a timely manner.
•Inspect the work area daily and complete work-area inspection sheets; maintain a safe, clean work area and perform housekeeping as directed.
•Fuel equipment efficiently and operate a fuel truck safely; accurately record equipment numbers, fuel used, and meter readings.
•Manage work orders in a CMMS system; complete requests for parts and work order forms.
•Learn and implement MSHA standards and regulations; report safety concerns to the foreman immediately.

Key Requirements

•High school or equivalent education.
•Experience maintaining light, medium, and heavy on/off highway gas, propane, and diesel-powered equipment and tugboats.
•Proficiency troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, hydraulic, power train, and other systems on vehicles, equipment, and tugboats.
•Ability to cut and weld proficiently.
•Ability to read, understand, and follow service, repair, operator, and parts manuals and schematics.
