Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and review detailed structural design and construction drawings for hydropower and pumped storage projects.
  • •Prepare structural layouts, reinforcement detailing, steel detailing, and General Arrangement drawings for dams, intakes, spillways, powerhouses, transformer caverns, surge facilities, pressure shafts/penstocks, and tunnels.
  • •Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Hydraulic, Mechanical, Electrical, and Geological engineering teams to align deliverables with calculations, reports, and standards.
  • •Review vendor drawings and integrate equipment interface requirements into structural layouts.
  • •Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior structural designers and support site engineering by resolving drawing-related queries and issuing revisions during construction.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
  • •Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
  • •20+ years of experience in structural design and detailing for hydropower and pumped storage projects.
  • •Familiarity with structural analysis outputs from tools such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, MIDAS Civil, or similar.
