Job Summary

Manage material program activities for the Naval Power mission area, serving as the interface between Supply Chain and Program on production contracts for the Naval Standard Missile Systems (NSMS) portfolio. Drive material strategy development and material forecasting, monitor GSCM health metrics, and support supplier assessments and supplier readiness/capacity planning to meet cost, schedule, and delivery requirements. Lead cross-functional execution focused on supplier health and contracted deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive processes to successful completion to meet an aggressive delivery schedule at increasing rates.
•Develop and implement material strategies and perform material forecasting to meet cost and schedule requirements.
•Evaluate GSCM health metrics and conduct supplier assessments to support supplier health.
•Manage strategic and tactical tasks while influencing program leaders and handling multiple conflicting priorities with supplier managers.
•Support ROMs/proposals and supplier production readiness/capacity planning to meet contracted deliverables.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience with minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
•Experience leading or participating in cross-functional teams.
•Material forecasting experience.
•Experience supporting supplier production readiness efforts/capacity assessments.
•Financial knowledge and experience with supplier negotiations in support of cost reduction opportunities.
