Senior backend engineer responsible for cloud modernization of Payoneer’s credit card systems. You’ll re-architect, build, and ship next‑gen backend solutions, drive event‑driven architecture, and ensure secure, high‑performance card operations, collaborating with architects, security, product, and operations to modernize systems from ordering to transaction processing.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead technical initiatives across card systems, designing, building, and validating robust backend solutions that scale with business needs.
•Collaborate with architects, security, product, and operations teams to modernize existing card systems into a new event-driven architecture with cloud-native patterns.
•Own the full card lifecycle from ordering and issuing to limiting, managing, and monitoring card transactions, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performance operations.
•Interface with third-party payment processors, 3D Secure systems, and MasterCard to ensure seamless integration and security.
•Balance long-term architectural thinking with pragmatic delivery and take technical ownership to deliver lasting impact.

Key Requirements

•6+ years of backend development with C# and Node.js
•6+ years of experience with advanced SQL (MSSQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL)
•4+ years of experience with NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB
•Experience building SaaS platforms for cloud-based products, preferably AWS
•Experience with Containers and Kubernetes (K8s), preferably EKS
