Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and maintain critical parts of ClickHouse’s JVM-based data framework integrations and connectors.
  • •Handle the full lifecycle of streaming/database integration components, from core database drivers to SDKs and connectors.
  • •Build and improve high-performance, production-grade connectors and data integration pathways.
  • •Collaborate with the open-source community, internal teams, and enterprise users to set standards for performance, reliability, and developer experience.
  • •Support integration work across real-time analytics and observability systems processing large-scale data workloads.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of software development experience building data-intensive solutions.
  • •Experience with internals of streaming or data integration frameworks, with preference for Apache Kafka (or similar pub/sub systems), Kafka Connect, Apache Flink, or Apache Beam.
  • •Hands-on experience developing or extending streaming connectors (sinks/sources) for at least one framework such as Flink, Beam, or Kafka Connect.
  • •Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (or similar distributed messaging), including topic design, consumer groups, and performance tuning.
  • •Strong database fundamentals (SQL, data modeling, query optimization) and proficiency in Java/JVM performance work (memory management, GC tuning, profiling).
