Key Responsibilities

•Own transaction processing platform infrastructure for signing and settlement flows, including service design, correctness guarantees, and operational health.
•Build transaction-ordering and concurrency-control logic to keep processing correct and consistent at scale.
•Design data models, API contracts, and retry/backoff logic; write RFCs that other engineers use for integrations.
•Define production-ready standards for platform services (SLOs, alerting thresholds, and runbooks).
•Lead incident response and root-cause analysis, driving postmortems to prevent recurrence and flagging architectural risk early.

Key Requirements

•5–7 years of backend software engineering experience with strict correctness/ordering guarantees for systems like financial transactions, ledgers, or distributed queues.
•Strong TypeScript proficiency, with experience using Effect (effect.ts) or a comparable functional effect system.
•Experience with durable workflow or orchestration systems (e.g., Temporal), either in production or as a foundation for services.
•Solid understanding of concurrency control patterns including partitioned/keyed execution, idempotency, at-least-once delivery, and reconciliation.
•Production experience with PostgreSQL and Kafka (or equivalent message infrastructure), plus the ability to independently own reliability and design decisions.
