Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive strategic sourcing and procurement of critical mechanical commodities to support prototype, development, qualification, and production requirements.
  • •Own supplier selection, qualification, onboarding, and long-term supplier management for mission-critical components and systems.
  • •Lead competitive sourcing activities including RFQs/RFPs, proposal analysis, supplier negotiations, cost modeling, source selection, and contract execution.
  • •Partner with Engineering and other teams to review technical requirements (drawings, specifications, GD&T, BOMs, engineering changes) and improve manufacturability, cost, and lead times.
  • •Manage supplier performance across delivery, quality, cost, and technical execution, coordinating recovery plans and leading supplier executive reviews when performance is below expectations.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 130,000 - 200,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • •7+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, or supply chain management in aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated manufacturing.
  • •Demonstrated experience leading complex sourcing efforts and independently managing critical suppliers, commodities, or major aircraft systems.
  • •Experience sourcing flight-critical mechanical commodities such as airframe/structural assemblies, precision-machined components, landing gear systems, and/or engines/propulsion hardware.
  • •Strong analytical and commercial negotiation skills for balancing cost, quality, delivery, technical performance, and program risk.
