Job Summary

Senior Engineer responsible for developing, deploying, and supporting machine learning and statistical models to provide forecasting, prediction, and prescriptive insights that can be embedded into software and workflows. Builds Power BI dashboards, collaborates with engineering leads, leverages DMRO data for decision-making, and mentors others while following agile practices in the Bengaluru-based RTX India Engineering Center.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with engineering organization leads to identify opportunities for leveraging data science and analytics to enhance operations.
•Leverage DMRO (Digital Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) data to provide insights and enable better decision-making. Build Power BI dashboards to drive key insights for the MRO network.
•Work with experienced engineers to define, prototype, test, deploy and monitor machine learning and statistical models to provide predictions and forecasts
•Understand, explain, and recommend appropriate Machine Learning/Data Analytics methods and software solutions
•Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Take ownership of assigned project milestones, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards while following agile/scrum practices.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience building machine learning/statistical models
•3+ years of experience in SQL or Databricks
•Proficiency in machine learning tools and programming languages such as Python
•Bachelor’s degree (with 8+ year experience) or Advanced degree (with 7+ year experience) in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics
•Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team; familiarity with agile practices (sprint, scrum, PI ceremonies) and project execution
