Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and develop the Americas Employee Relations team as part of the ER leadership team.
  • •Guide complex workplace investigations, maintain case files, and communicate timely updates to relevant parties.
  • •Provide consultative guidance to People Partners and management on policy interpretation, investigations, disciplinary recommendations, and workforce reductions.
  • •Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures, advising on best practices and risk mitigation while balancing business needs and fair resolutions.
  • •Review and advise on discipline and termination documentation and drive continuous improvement, mentoring, and operational rigor.
  • •Partner closely with People Partners, People Legal, People Care Crisis, Leader Consulting, Offboarding, and other teams to deliver HR strategies.
  • •Uphold Cisco’s Guiding Principles and foster integrity, respect, and accountability in employee relations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
  • •7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • •5+ years handling complex Employee Relations investigations.
  • •2+ years in an HR or ER leadership role.
  • •Strong knowledge of US employment and labor laws and compliance requirements (Canada and Latam experience preferred).
