Job Summary

Construction Inspector on the PM/CM team in Indianapolis, responsible for collecting site data, performing on-site inspections, and coordinating testing of soils, concrete, and materials to ensure conformance with codes and design standards. You will support contract interpretation, change orders, and project documentation, working closely with engineers, inspectors, and field staff to keep projects on track.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the site, surveys, plans, drawings, and other matrices for field inspection activities.
•Under minimal supervision, perform basic inspections of site conditions, equipment, construction, materials, and configurations to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, and codes.
•Perform testing of soil density, concrete air/slump/yield, moisture content, and other required construction tests.
•Provide routine technical assistance to ensure proper inspection, construction, and functioning of highways, roads, bridges, structures, and infrastructure according to design specifications.
•Assist with verifying change orders, interpretation of contract plans and specifications, and escalate any differences or problems.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma.
•Minimum of 7 years of relevant post-education experience in construction inspection.
•Valid state driver’s license.
•Highly familiar with construction inspection principles, field inspection practices, codes, and record-keeping requirements.
•Ability to learn and follow safety guidelines and work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with a team.
