Key Responsibilities

  • •Attend a 3-week training program and complete 4–8 weeks of on-the-job training to become a Certified Operator.
  • •Set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines, vertical turret lathes, or VTCs for routine production operations.
  • •Use operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to set up equipment for grinding, turning, facing, boring, and/or chamfering operations.
  • •Verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments and accept/reject parts.
  • •Perform required total preventive maintenance (TPM) and collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, and programmers to resolve machining problems and support part process development.
