Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as incident manager and technical escalation point for complex, high-severity events, bringing structured decision-making under pressure.
  • •Design and build AI-assisted and automated systems to improve how quickly and consistently the team can triage, investigate, and contain incidents.
  • •Establish safety controls for automated/AI-assisted actions, including approval gates, auditability, and rollback mechanisms to keep high-impact decisions human-controlled.
  • •Own readiness programs (tabletop exercises and incident gamedays) from scenario design and execution through debriefs and measurable improvements.
  • •Advance threat hunting and insider risk capabilities by planning, sequencing, and delivering multi-quarter roadmap initiatives; mentor other engineers and partner with cross-functional teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience leading complex, high-severity security incidents across multiple environments, including serving as incident commander or equivalent technical lead.
  • •Experience designing and building AI-assisted or agentic automation for security operations (triage, investigation, containment), with judgment on where automation should and shouldn’t make decisions.
  • •Strong software engineering skills, including building production tooling, automation, or systems for incident response rather than only operating existing platforms.
  • •Experience owning a security program or capability roadmap end to end, including planning, sequencing, and delivering multi-quarter work.
  • •Strong understanding of cloud-native, SaaS, and identity-driven attack techniques and response approaches.
