Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead assigned tooling projects from concept development through implementation and production release.
  • •Support tooling activities for product launches, industrialization, and manufacturing transfer projects by defining requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • •Provide tooling-related technical support to manufacturing engineering and operations, including root cause investigations, tooling improvements, engineering changes, and production ramp-up.
  • •Coordinate internal tool shop tooling manufacturing, repair, refurbishment, modification, and make-versus-buy evaluations to improve tooling capability.
  • •Support supplier selection and technical evaluations, coordinate trials/FAT/qualification activities, and monitor supplier progress to resolve technical issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Tool Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline (or a completed toolmaker apprenticeship/equivalent plus relevant experience).
  • •Minimum 3 years of professional experience in tooling and tool manufacturing.
  • •Experience with production tooling such as molds, dies, fixtures, gauges, assembly tooling, or related manufacturing equipment.
  • •Experience in tooling-related projects including NPI, product transfers, tooling modifications, capacity expansion, or productivity improvement initiatives.
  • •Ability to work with internal Tool Shops, manufacturing sites, and external tooling suppliers, with international manufacturing experience considered an advantage.
