Key Responsibilities

  • •Undertake EMC simulations to ensure electronic systems and components operate without interference at high and low frequencies.
  • •Assess current EMC and lightning protection methods and research how to simulate them in EMC simulation tools.
  • •Import CAD models into simulation tools, refine structures, and run/iterate simulation models to produce required results.
  • •Compile technical “white papers” describing simulation learnings and best practices.
  • •Support systems engineering activities including requirements verification matrices and participation in systems requirements/design reviews and test readiness reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •Background in engineering with Avionics or Electronics preferred (not required).
  • •Knowledge of EMC or wave physics.
  • •Experience with standards such as RTCA DO-160 and MIL-STD-461.

  • •Experience working in cross-functional teams.
