Job Summary

Lead fleet investment initiatives by delivering robust financial and commercial insights that shape the Qantas Group’s fleet strategy. Own aircraft valuation tools and fleet data analytics, and run detailed financial modelling for aircraft economics, lease-versus-buy, and trading scenarios. Support RFPs with OEMs and translate industry developments into clear recommendations. Partner with Treasury, Investor Relations, and Group Finance on asset valuation and capital planning.

•Deliver financial and commercial insights to shape the Qantas Group’s fleet strategy and support the Group Fleet Plan.
•Lead detailed financial modelling and commercial analysis for major fleet investment decisions, including lease-versus-buy and aircraft trading scenarios.
•Support RFPs with key OEMs by evaluating aircraft economics and end-of-lease considerations.
•Own aircraft valuation tools and fleet data analytics; maintain fleet valuation and analytics capabilities.
•Provide thought leadership across fleet strategy and translate insights into actionable recommendations while partnering with stakeholders (Treasury, Investor Relations, Group Finance).

Key Requirements

•Strong financial and analytical capability, including building and interpreting financial models.
•Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•People management and/or project management experience, managing multiple priorities through delivery and implementation.
