Job Summary

Safely maintain the Troy and Montanore/Libby adit mine sites across two remote locations, handling surface facilities, underground drifts/workings, and water-management infrastructure. Complete day-to-day tasks with minimal oversight, including heavy equipment operation (road grader and other equipment), basic welding, scaling, pump and generator operations, and WTP operations with PLC/control systems and compliance reporting. Work closely with a small team, participate in safety meetings, and follow MSHA and environmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely maintain Troy and Montanore/Libby sites, including surface facilities, underground drifts/workings, and associated water-management infrastructure.
•Operate and troubleshoot underground pumps and underground mining equipment; perform scaling and underground condition checks and act/escalate as needed.
•Operate and maintain surface facilities including snow plowing/shoveling, diesel generator operation, and heavy equipment (including a road grader) for site/access road maintenance.
•Operate Montanore/Libby WTP functions using PLC/control systems, perform daily compliance reporting, and support basic water quality lab testing.
•Participate in safety/prep and weekly safety meetings; comply with environmental, safety, and MSHA rules and complete required documentation/inspections (e.g., MSHA, SWPPP, SPCC).

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Minimum five (5) years of relevant mining, maintenance, or heavy equipment experience.
•Equipment operation experience, including proficiency operating a road grader; also experience with other heavy equipment (loaders, plows, etc.).
•Basic welding skills for equipment and infrastructure repair/maintenance.
•Basic computer knowledge to operate WTP PLC/control systems and complete daily run sheets, compliance reporting, and equipment documentation.
•MSHA training required (must maintain current certification) and a valid driver’s license with ability to travel between sites.
