Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and CarMax standards.
  • •Maintain accurate and compliant DOT logs and documentation.
  • •Load, secure, transport, and unload CarMax vehicles safely and efficiently, including hands-on freight handling and working outdoors.
  • •Move vehicles between CarMax locations and approved vendors using a company-provided truck while keeping equipment clean and operationally ready.
  • •Deliver vehicles accurately and on time to support inventory flow, while representing CarMax professionally.

Key Requirements

  • •Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state.
  • •2+ years of Class A CDL driving experience (military heavy/medium tactical vehicle experience considered).
  • •21 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license and a clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years.
  • •Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks, including securing vehicles and working with chains/binders/straps.
  • •Ability to meet DOT & FMCSA qualification requirements and work outdoors in inclement weather.
