Job Summary

Assist construction crews with preparing, grading, and paving asphalt. Work outdoors on daily projects by shoveling, raking, compacting materials, removing asphalt and debris with saws and power tools, and supporting traffic control with signs, cones, and barriers. Operate equipment such as water trucks and oil distributors, perform underground adjustments, and measure/mark/stake for grade and pave work while following safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist construction crews with tasks to prepare, grade, and pave asphalt.
•Shovel, rake, and compact materials in grade and pave operations.
•Operate asphalt saw, concrete saw, and other power tools to remove asphalt and debris.
•Perform traffic control activities, including flagging and setting up signs, cones, and barriers.
•Measure, mark, paint, and stake per measurements; perform underground adjustments and equipment/tool cleanup as needed.
