Key Responsibilities

  • •Engage early at product conception and mechanical design to align technical paths with the design team.
  • •Lead joint DFM reviews and coordinate supplier/designer collaboration; review engineering drawings for optimized design and tolerances.
  • •Own NPI responsibilities in process/quality planning and validation, including risk mitigation via QMS/Critical Process Audits.
  • •Lead EVT/DVT builds and conduct failure analysis to identify root causes and drive timely process/design solutions; lead PPAP/PSW sign-off.
  • •Manage critical ME processes (e.g., die casting, welding, heat treatment) and scale mass production ramp-up to capacity/efficiency targets.

Key Requirements

  • •BS or higher in Engineering or Science with strong Mechanical Engineering focus.
  • •10+ years in NPI engineering for mechanical (ME) products; 5+ years in e-bike, automotive, or aluminum fabrication industries.
  • •Expertise in aluminum product industrialization, including die/LPD/squeeze-castings, welding, and heat treatment.
  • •Strong DFX (tech design path evaluation/FEA) and capability bridging design with volume manufacturing.
  • •Experience with mechanical failure analysis across the product lifecycle, including reliability testing, fractography, metallography, root cause analysis (5Why), DOE, and statistical methods; familiar with GD&T and inspection gauge design.
