Job Summary

Build and deploy backend microservices in Java (Spring Boot) and partner with design to create intuitive frontends using React and TypeScript. Own centralized tools that aggregate fincrime signals into a unified 360-degree customer risk view, and develop common risk-mitigation components used by Servicing Agents. Help scale Wise’s servicing and compliance operations by breaking down bottlenecks, shipping improvements end to end, and collaborating closely across product and analytics.

•Design, develop, and deploy resilient backend microservices in Java (Spring Boot) and build frontends with React and TypeScript.
•Build centralized tools that aggregate data across fincrime topologies to provide a 360-degree customer risk view.
•Own and develop common risk-mitigation components for scalable, standardized workflows.
•Identify and resolve bottlenecks in servicing and compliance processes by delivering adaptable platform solutions.
•Own the product journey end to end, from identifying problems with stakeholders through shipping to production.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 87,500 - 111,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Strong backend engineering experience with Java or other JVM languages.
•Experience building responsive web applications using React and TypeScript/JavaScript.
•Write clean, scalable, and testable code; understand test coverage best practices and code reviews.
•Design and implement distributed, concurrent systems and understand stateful/stateless and synchronous/asynchronous tradeoffs.
•Break down complex work into incremental milestones and communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
