Key Responsibilities

  • •Receive, pay out, and handle cash and negotiable items, including loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
  • •Set up, close, and balance the teller station, including assisting with balancing vault, ATM, night drop, and coin machines.
  • •Record sales of monetary instruments and ensure proper scanning of bank documents and proof work.
  • •Assist customers with inquiries in person or by telephone, and exercise judgment when applying holds and making check-cashing decisions.
  • •Cross-sell bank products and services while following limits and bank policies and procedures, including completing required BSA/AML training.

Key Requirements

  • •Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • •Strong communication skills to respond effectively to customers in person, by telephone, and in small group situations.
  • •Basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and to perform calculations using money (10-key).
  • •Critical thinking to carry out simple multi-step instructions and handle standardized situations with limited variables.
  • •Cash handling ability in a business environment, with a positive, friendly, professional attitude and appearance.
