Job Summary

Conduct construction inspection for road and bridge projects by interpreting plans, schedules, and quantities, verifying work is performed safely and per specifications, and supporting senior inspectors with surveying and material sampling/testing. Compile, analyze, compute, edit, and process field data through standardized and non-standardized tests while keeping accurate records and applying relevant construction codes and regulations. Exercise responsible, ethical decision-making and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

•Examine and interpret construction plans, schedules, and quantities.
•Verify work is performed safely and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
•Support senior project inspectors in construction inspection, surveying, and material sampling and testing.
•Perform standardized and non-standardized tests and assignments while compiling, analyzing, computing, editing, and processing field data.
•Ensure responsible and ethical decision-making and adhere to company Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma.
•3 years of road and bridge construction inspection and testing experience (or equivalent education, training, and experience).
•Ability to attain specified NCDOT certifications within 90 days (±) or as scheduling allows.
•Ability to keep accurate records and compute field data.
•Ability to read and interpret construction plans and follow applicable codes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
